ABOUT US

We are Marie Claire Vasquez Durán and María Victoria Abreu Lugar, both proudly Latina, immigrants to the United States, and mothers. We met around 2005 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, where we were born and raised. At the Faculty of Economics, Maria Victoria taught a college class that Marie Claire took and a few years later we reconnected in Washington, DC where we had both put down roots after traveling the world studying.
Marie Claire planned María Victoria's wedding with her business Claire Duran Weddings & Events, and although we were always close, it was not until the summer of 2020, in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, when we decided to undertake a business journey together and create Dutidú. We both live in Maryland, United States with our respective families.
OUR DREAMS

With Dutidú we fill a gap in the market that we discovered when trying to entertain our children. We wanted fun and safe options,
in Spanish, that allowed us to transmit our Latino culture, values and positive content.
We promote the values of inclusion, diversity and multiculturalism in the arts and games industry.
We create awareness about the Latino culture, its traditions, values and extraordinary people.

We promote pride in the Latino identity and the possibility of being agents of change in our region.
We dream of giving opportunities to a lot of Latinx artists who reflect all the Latin cultural richness with their talents.
